In the anagen phase of hair growth, an increase in dermal papilla cells promotes the development of new hair. However, this process can halt when certain genes trigger the production of GSK-3 (Glycogen synthase kinase-3), a protein linked to transitioning into the catagen phase, which is characterized by hair loss. The Epigenetic Shampoos from Nuggela & Sulé boost the levels of specific Micro-RNAs (miR 26a-5p and miR-29b-3p) that counteract GSK-3 synthesis. This action helps sustain the anagen phase and encourages the proliferation of follicle cells, leading to new hair formation.
